Texas roofing law: Texas doesn't license roofers statewide, so check references, insurance, and written contracts. State law prohibits contractors from waiving or rebating your deductible, and roofing contracts over $1,000 paid with insurance proceeds must include a notice that you're responsible for the deductible. Will insurance cover my roof damage?
It depends on your policy, the cause of the damage, your deductible, and the adjuster's findings. We document visible damage and provide a construction scope. Coverage decisions are made by your insurer.
Can you waive or cover my deductible?
No. Texas law prohibits contractors from waiving, rebating, or absorbing a policyholder's deductible, and any roofer who offers to is breaking the law. You're responsible for paying your deductible.
Do I need a full replacement or a repair?
It depends on the roof's age, the extent of damage, current condition, and code requirements. An inspection is the right starting point.
Do you handle commercial roofs?
Yes. We coordinate commercial roofing projects as part of our commercial construction work.
